I had the opportunity to spend a week in the Bay Area and Sonoma Coast region of California this May. I had never been to this state before, and reveled in the scenery and feel. Stump BeachSalt Point State Park, Sonoma Coast, California The Sonoma Coast had such a variety of shoreline, from rocky crags to sandy beaches. the smell and feel of the ocean was familar, but with a sound and sight all its own.
The region around the San Francisco Bay had a flavor all its own, too, unlike any other I've visited. From the Bay itself, with Alcatraz and Angel Island, to the Marin Headlands with beaches and cliffs.
I hope you enjoy the photos, I have warm memories of the trip and hope to get back some day.
