Here's a gallery of recent photographs, updated every few weeks, of trips into the neighboring hills and deserts.
A few may be from just goofing around the county having fun with the camera. I've been addicted to road tripping, hiking, and skiing about the backlands of Utah, Colorado and Wyoming for awhile, and once I started carrying a camera I thought it would be a good idea to share the experiences. Here's the latest group of shots:
Update for June 08: shots of the strange ice formations in the spring snow melt, hummingbirds are back, and the Lake Granby area in the evening, plus a few of the mountain bike areas now that it's almost summer!
Update for second week of May: posted some flower shots, crocus just coming up through the snow, and ice formations on a twig in mid-stream.
Update for first week of May 08: I've posted the photos from my trip to Utah last month. Lots of shots of red sand country, including Arches, Canyon Rims, Goblin Valley and the San Rafael Swell. It was a welcome break from the snow and cold here in Colorado, though Utah was windy!. I had red dust in everything, from the camper and camera down to my underwear :) It's truly a small world, ran into a fellow from my little hometown in Louisiana while in Arches. We were both waiting for sunrise to put that magic light on Landscape Arch. Never really happened, but the 'chance' meeting was worth it. Hope ya'll enjoy the shots.
Thanks to Shawn Nevins (http://spiritualteachers.org), Art Ticknor (http://www.selfdiscoveryportal.com), and Maureen (another Celtic soul) for their encouragement.
I found a great link to some helpful hints on post-processing by Dianne Varner at: http://www.dianevarner.com/technique.html , her shots are awesome, too.
